Clik here to view.Legoland is striving to make the experience of park goers more authentic. They announced recently that they are entering in a partnership with a foreign exchange business called Travelex. What this means is that Legoland Florida Resort will be having their very own money listed on a currency exchange board and U.S. dollars will be able to be exchanged for Legoland Dollars. This is the first theme park to ever partake in such an endeavor.
Why Money
The Legoland Dollars will have a playful looking design that’s very attractive to youngsters. Each dollar will be brightly colored with orange, red, blue, green and yellow Legos as well as pictures of some of the more popular attractions and symbols placed on the dollars. These unique dollars are supposed to help visitors of Legoland Florida to really immerse themselves into the whole Legoland experience. Adults might even find themselves drawn into the excitement of the whole concept as well since it is such a new concept.
The Exchange Rate And Benefits
The exchange rate for Legoland Dollars is pretty simple. For every U.S. dollar that a guest exchanges they will receive 1 U.S. dollar. However, there are actually benefits to using these dollars besides having an “even” exchange rate. Guests will get to upgrade their ticket to include a visit to the Legoland Water Park and they will receive free parking as well.
Drawbacks For Guests
When guests use their Legoland Dollars they will receive U.S. dollars back when making change. The minimum amount guests can exchange their U.S. currency for to get Legoland Dollars is $5. These dollars are nonrefundable and not redeemable for cash. What this means is that once you get the dollars, you have to use them at the park as you can’t turn them back in for U.S. dollars.
These dollars are only available for the next several months. Depending on the success of the concept, they could be available for purchase year round. Travelers can buy their very own Legoland Dollars at one of the 55 different Travelex locations located throughout the U.S. They can be found at many airports, including Tampa International Airport and at the Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores. So, what do you think of the Legoland Dollars concept? Will you rush out to get some of this money or will you stick to the using the U.S. dollar while in Legoland Florida?
